Every year for so many years friends and acquaintances break their bread after the fast of the Ramadhan! The feast is ordered by a non-believer and the invitees are in majority non-believers. It is a political gimmick. Looking at who is who present at the feast one can conclude the fun they had. A feast was also held when the conspirators agreed to assassinate Julius Ceaser! How much per plate was the cost? Who footed the bill? Good luck!

India has many religious festivals starting with Deepawali, Christmas apart from Id. I do not know why so much importance is given to Iftar parties by all these political parties. Is it to appease the Muslim voters? I think Mulism voters do not worried about all these political Iftar. Similarly why these politicians are not making any efforts to celebarate other religious festivals?
If the Congress Party to survive they must initiate actions to rebuilt the party in UP an Bihar, Tamilnadu and West Bengal. It is not an easy task. But they have to work hard if they have to succeed. According to me the era of coalition politics slowly going away. People want decisive leaders and not opportunistic leaders. Congress unfortunately has the maximum amount of such leaders who wanted to live on the shadow of Gandhi's rather than doing anything for the party. These politicians also must realize Congress need to introduce proper internal democracy to ensure the best leader is elected to lead the party. This so called opposition unity is not in any way going to help Congress. The faster they realize it is better for them. If BJP can emerge from nothing to lead the Nation with lot of hard work put in by Mr. Modi, Congress with so much of wealth of knowledge and experience in Indian politics also can do it and therefore it is a pity to see them trying to prop up an opposition unity to fight BJP. Instead of opposing everything what BJP do as an opposition Congress should emerge as a constructive opposition and win the confidence of the people. It is time for Congress to wake up from its sleep and work hard to rebuild the party.
