The West has won, and the East has lost. The East has lost by miles. It's time to close shop early. All the civilisations are mediocre and defunct in front of the modern Western civilisation. India and other less civilised countries need to learn to be disciplined and do their fireworks in some restricted park or desolate area allowing public to view it from a distance like in civilised West.

The same goes for Holi. Which is another super barbaric festival that is celebrated in India. It is just total chaos on the streets, troubling all kinds of people, women of all ages, and involves all kinds of illegal activities that go along ... People can do it in a civilised way by playing with people who are only interested in some quiet place with music and food, than just go all around.

More barbarism - On Makar Sankranti, An 18-year-old boy lost his life while trying to get a kite from an electric pole on Wednesday while a 10-year-old was killed on Thursday in a similar manner. A six-year old girl escaped death on Sunday when she was returning home from school as a stray manja almost cut her throat. As she tried to stop the manja, her fingers got cut, just short of being chopped off. Several people got fractures while running to catch kites. This is what we celebrate in India.
