If AP can be splitted then Jammu and Kashmir can also be two states one rules by BJP and other rules by PDP and both can test whether they are able to deliver the goods. Omar failed miserably in ruling the state.

He must have received Green Signal from Congress's President to write such letter to J&K Governor. They must have realized that if President's rule once imposed,then BJP in center will rule the Valley in de facto. But Mr.Abdullah must realize that in either way J&K cannot form Government without BJP's participation.

Muslims of Kashmir were always peaceful and not like the regular Muslims in the rest of the world. They were spoiled by Pakistani sunni influence and the congress government remained a paralyzed mute spectator. Nehru is the man to blame first for starting the rot when he jailed Sheikh Abdullah and his foolish generosity during the incusrion by Pak propelled tribes (his allowing them to retain POK and even more blameworthy for not letting the IAF help the ground forces during the war), Indira and Rajiv did the rest through inaction. Today's Kashmiris are confused and misguided, but I believe if any Muslim can be turned into good human beings, Kashmiris can be, through responsible sympathetic governance at the Center

If Maj Kariyappa was given one more day the whole Kashmir would be part of India and no issues. Nehru bungled everywhere.
