The best religion is having a good understanding of mental health, mental illnesses, psychiatry and psychotherapy with some understanding of the basics of Hinduism and Buddhism in terms how to improve the Power of Concentration to excel in Work and Life. The whole world needs to develop such an Universal Scientific Religion of Secular Ethics and Knowledge for humanity to progress.

For poor and downtrodden of India, a modern provocative education including science, maths, English, modern European history especially French Revolution and onwards, and martial arts is the best option to bring them freedom and the strength to fight for justice. Without it they get used as pawns in the games politicians and privileged classes play.

Scientology is based more on the human mind. They are known to be very controlling. They use your most vulnerable memories and use it against you. And they believe Aliens seeded the earth with humans. It actually came from a book a guy wrote
it's a game of convenience. we during hindu rulers were respected as Kings consorts, viz: Chand Barot. we lost this status during grt. Mogul rules but few converted to Islam and enjoyed the Staus
In a civilized free society that is true, but in India the bulk of the downtrodden are like sheep who can be herded and made to do what the shepherds want.
Unfortunately for India and Indians, the shepherds in India only want to do bad things for the sheep. So the conversion, reconversion, rereconversion, and so on, is a very big matter indeed. Conversion is like a lighted candle in an explosives godown. It in India has the potential to blow up the whole place to bits and smithereens. That is what gets it all the attention of both the bad and the good kinds, though currently it is entirely of the bad kind.

Yes Conversions in disguise of cast inequality especially by missionaries need to be stopped
Both Arbhamic rlgns mandate conversions to grow in size but in _Hindusm there is no mandate such as that so it should not be taken as weakness and impose Arabic or some other way of life Only an ill developed mind would say my_god is true others is fake

The population of christians has bee 2.5 % and has actually reduced and yet you claim conversion are a threat, to whom? To the upper casts who rule india.
it is a foolish report indeed and shows hindu hatred attitude of rediff.muslims have remained poor for so many years bcoz of their prefernce to religious things over education and jobs....this is leading to a vicious cycle among them as unemployment is pushing them to religious extremism....but how can media like rediff see this when theyb are determined to neglect it

This matter calls for scientific measurements of the real social conditions, and their dependence on various causes. Unfortunately the debate in India is always confined to the unscientific domain of opinion, prejudices, favorite views, and the like. No one seems to care for scientific analysis based on detailed observations, perhaps because it is desired that the real cat shall not leave the bag. However it is clear that access to modern education has been systematically and deliberately denied to the downtrodden.
It is ridiculous but true that of its population of around 1400 millions, about 400 million in India will never achieve the right or skill to hold a pen or pencil in their hands to make just one mark on a piece of paper.
