how about Amir Khan

how come he has the right to offend? And given blessings of Leela Samson led censor board.

Ah, I get it. Offending is ok, even welcome, as long as it is not directed at the Religions of Peace and Love.

Absolutely. No body talks about the double standards of the media. When a film 'Vishwaroopam', could be re edited after objections on its screening from the believers
how can the Censor board refuse similar treatment to PK? Media did not bother to question either the believers or the censor board on its decision to clip scenes.Unscrupulous film makers and actors are taking advantage of the inherent tolerance of the majority.

by srinivasan iyer on Jan 12, 2015 12:06 PM  | Hide replies

Have the journos accepted any responsibilities? They have NO 'ethics' they can follow any means to do anything they want!
Do they have any code of conduct? they have never accepted any codes...... How can they expect that others follow all their dictats ????

Journuos are taking side specially when it comes to vendor-ing their pet subjects like Propping up Secularists and secularism. Indian journalism at it's present state is not free or fair. These journous are tagged with their Big Bosses [like- Big corporate, corrupt Natas with big bucks].
For real journalism, these journuos must have to break their shackles of this miss- perception???

Robert Jackson- eminent legal luminary and judge of the US Supreme Court said it beautifully-

"The day that a country ceases to be free for irreligion, it will cease to be free for religion."

Another Robert Jckson quote

“The price of freedom of religion or of speech or of the press is that- we must put up with, and even pay for, a good deal of rubbish.”

Absolutely not. Why do you want privileges that you do not give your readers? For example, are you willing to give up "moderating" readers offensive messages?

Free speech
by Bodh Ramdeo on Jan 10, 2015 10:12 PM

People in this primitive, backward land need to grow some spine, self-confidence and grow up...going ballistic at he slghtest perceived slight is nothing short of childishness and immaturity.
