It is really shameful that opposition to date has not appreciated the act of our forces.
Well done, good shot keep it up.The Govt. should keep Morales of our forces high and people will get better results.

I suspect that the tranfer of weapons would have already taken place in Kerala coast and the boat in Gujarat coast was meant for distraction.

Good job done. Bravo Zulu
by manu nair on Jan 03, 2015 10:09 AM

The great job done by coast guard is very well appreciated. It was better if we could have waited for day time as we could have got more information of the boat and crew as the speed of fishing boats are much less and could not reach our coast.

Alertness as a nation
by ravi prakash on Jan 03, 2015 10:00 AM  | Hide replies

We, as a nation are duty bound to alert our security forces against any external threats to our security. Some facts of the story point to the role of chance and we are lucky to neutralize the threat. How long will luck hold out? There ought to a central mechanism which collects all kinds of information and screens it for investigation. We as citizen are unaware of such an organization save the local police. In the Mumbai attack even the police were unaware of the threat. It had tragic consequences.
As concerning the actual incident. A stealth operation to capture the boat would have yielded and more information and a clear definition of the threat.
The sudden explosion of the boat could mean that the mission was secretive and dangerous and capture would have been suicidal, indicating a larger design or it could have been accidental. No one knows.
As it stands, we can only go back to sleep and wait for another incident to happen without our knowledge. Our alertness as a nation is poor.

My goodness! What a genius you are. It is such a waste that someone like you is not part of any govt. security mechanism.

Pak writes to India on explosive-laden Pak ship; Seeks probe.

It condemned the incident and lodged strong protest stating it to be a "cowardly and
unethical act" by India's NTRO & the Coast Guard.

(hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!! )
