USA must Impose Restrictions on India
by Desert Bangalore on Feb 25, 2015 02:19 AM

Environmentally India needs to be monitored strictly, as we have already lost Majority of Forested area and whatever is remaining is only 5 to 10% compared to what we had in 1947.

USA must Impose Environmental Restrictions on India, as we are too keen for development by deforestation and pollution.

Why for the past 60 years Congress has governed this Great Country and not concentrated in this Zone. If they would have spent some attention to this problem of restricting Car Population this should not have happened.

It is not a matter of competing with China. We need to put curbs on cars (higher taxes, restricted parking, etc.) like Singapore and promote cycling in our cities. When there are less cars, the bus system will become more efficient.

This is a matter of life and death.

directed by the *business friendly* Narendra Modi, was just getting ready to dilute various environment, forest and pollution related laws already existing in the country for the exclusive benefit of those businesses and all in the holy name of development and jobs when this nasty thing has happened !!

Oh, why should fate be so inconvenient at times ??

so many car companies..no parking.. no restriction on requisites to buy a car...complete encroachments in major towns - slow traffic - more emissions - no mass transportation system in 2 tier cities - Quality of life?
