It is not just the numbers it is quality and hygiene which is also critical. Let them rate them based on the quality of the blood banks which has proper facility and hygiene otherwise this will become counter productive.
pl note no of bl banks in karnataka is more than shown. It must be only govt bl banks clarify. Donot send wrong information. Mys & Blr together have 20 blood bvanks. Check data before posting

I think the blood bank stated are per crore people. Almost all good hospitals and all dist govt hospitals have blood banks.
My wife donated two bottles of blood in kudal based NGO on request of her doctor gynocolist friend but when i admitted her to deodhar clinic the blood bank told that the certificate of kudal is no longer valid in Mumbai so be alert of dirty business of doctors
Data can't be totally incorrect. The blood banks could be less but hospitals are getting blood from distant blood banks. I wanted to give blood and there was no blood bank nearby. The sad story is some blood bank ask you whether you are HIV positive or so when you go to donate blood. Fell slapping them.Recently, I donated blood by going to a hospital about 50 KMs away in my car at my cost. I agree that the hospital had excellent arrangements
