Odd-Even Rule
by Gaurav GUPTA on Dec 31, 2015 11:16 AM

Why is the Delhi Government So Pushy in implementing the Odd-Even Scheme? They haven’t done the ground work.

1.Why did they not first bring in 7000 additional city transport buses first? The Final figure is now down to 3000 buses that too after pulling in school buses as a temporary measure.

2.Why did they not bring in 10000 additional Auto Permits first, Let the Vehicles Hit the Road and then implement the scheme.

3.Why not have a social-legal drive by RTO to ensure that rickshaw fares are collected by meter and drivers don’t resort to being the thugs and louts that Delhi is famous for.

4.Why did they not bring in additional Metro trains and run the metro on a tighter time table with more trips first?

5.Why did they not contrast proper cycling tracks that are not encroached upon and fenced so that people can cycle short distances and have the facility to park.

6.Why have they given so many exemptions that are both a loophole to escape the law and a noose that is open to interpretation by the cops to collect bribe.

7.Under what section of the Road Traffic law would the fine be collected . would it be “Not Obeying Kejriwals Diktat”

This is the typical mindset of all governing bodies be it city , state or centre “ Bring in hasty laws, escape responsibility of providing proper infrastructure and shift all the load of compliance on the voiceless middle class”

OddEven system is NO SOLUTION to Pollution ...
by Nalin Kishore on Dec 29, 2015 11:46 PM

AAP govt has branded every petrol/diesel car owner a polluter !!! Tha means lakhs of car owners who possess a valid PUC cert have been made CHARLIES. If a car carries a valid PUC CERT that means it in not creating any pollution, so under which law are such non polluting cars banned ??? Will the Supreme Court or the NGT take cognisance of this blunder ????

Pollution in Delhi
by Subir Chatterjee on Dec 29, 2015 07:54 PM

For people from outside Delhi it is a big surprise to see that the roads are almost always clogged with cars.Visit to any residential colony will reveal how the people of Delhi are obsessed with cars.At any given time you will notice that how cars are parked bumper to bumper in any colony. Many parks have been used as parking lots for the colony people.I think that anyone who has visited any other metro city will notice this nuisance of flooding Delhi and adjoining areas with cars. Not having car is not having any prestige in Delhi.Going to local baazar without your car means you have to carry the merchandise yourself-which is a big issue! No wonder the AAP government has to take such a measure.AAP has done a right job.

IF A PERSON HAS TO GO OUT OF DELHI ONLY FOR ONE DAY BY CAR, HE CANNOT COME TO DELHI ON THE SECOND DAY. IT MEANS IF A PERSON GOES OUT OF DELHI HE HAS TO COME ON THIRD DAY
