it is too early to predict positive outcome of this visit of modi breaking the protocol.may be pak and its Army needs a bit respite to recoup financially. i doubt the pak army will forego its long term military aim ?

This is easily the best article on the subject, not only on rediff but probably anywhere. Maybe it is in the wrong place. Only 2 comments so far! Maybe there is no scope for trivial responses.

In today's world a nation can ill afford even a small conventional conflict with a neighbor.

In the years to come the dragon will be the cause for many such conflicts.

It wants to rule the entire Asian sub continent.

Remove "sub" from your last sentence (look at the South China Sea). But they have been asking Pakistan to make peace with India because it suits them!
