A bold and positive approach by MODIji. He is not bothered about the negative talks by Congress on everything. For each good thing Modi does, Congress starts criticizing loosing their credibility. Already they lost the people support. Now they are killing themselves seriously. But it is good for India if they change themselves and behave responsibly. India needs a second big All India Party to keep the country united. I wish Congress realizes that and try to change their approach and improve.
It is very positive step.Brave move. It will two message to people in India and Pakistan. BJP is not a party of communal. Last Narendra Modi must keep in mind, there will be sabotage process particularly by army (not all- there are rogues in mid and low level who have vested interest), their non state actors who do not want this relationship to move forward. For example a lashkar e taiba chief hafeez saeed must or lakhvi must be thinking if India and Pakistan relationship will improve they will be in danger, of getting caught and second rogues in pakistan army who earlier supported extremist group (remember zia ul haq created army of mujahid to support for soviet group and they have unofficial or second support army mainly created for kashmir freedom struggle. Those will be itching to sabotage peace process and last in defense analyst like zaeed hamid who gives his twisted version from here and there and inject poison (some of his claim may be true, but 60% he speaks nonsense which some of their brainless tv anchor like mubashir luqman run and support this. they too have one section of junk media. Last not all of their political party is good and support india - pakistan relationship.. there is one party jamat e isl who earlier supported sectarian militant groups and have close proximity to saudi ideology of wahabism and salafirm of ethnic cleansing of minorities of shia and ahmedia will also be against india- pakistan relation. India focus should not be on uniting india, pakistan and bangladesh. Europe did that as people got dissociated with religion in europe so EU zone became successful. People of India and Pakistan became more religious. India must concentrate on trade zone, people to people contact with caution. We cannot have free trade zone like EU or ASEAN. With people frequent travel, close relationship, people to people contact (specially trade can open up many avenues, but we cannot have a EU type trade zone belt with Pakistan or ASEAN type relationship because afghan is still reeling under extremism and there is 100% chance of one blast or mass infiltration and relationship will be back to square one. In each dialogue with pakistan, india must raise concern of extremism and a seperate dialogue with their army who will raise kashmir issue strongly since pakistan. India cannot have malaysia and singapore tyle of relationship with pakistan as pakistan is still facing internal strife which will take 5-10 years if they dissociate with saudi funded ideology and develop secular credentials. Wherever saudi funded madrasa flurished those countries minorities got marginalized... problem with saudi kings who are tribal and arrogant.And India must distance itself from baluchistan as kashmir is bilateral issue, we have nothing to do with baloch.
