Slavery means forced work without their choice to leave that slavery. Government must punish for slavery for any kind of slavery for any reason then only slavery can finish in India.

The question is wrongly placed if law and order is properly in place. Socialists should come forward and catch hold of the employers who employ these labour for slavery and help Govt to book them for harsh punishment. This way people life can be improved tremendously and not left to Govt alone. The true patriotism is to look after the fellow citizen. This way the nation can be built.

Rediff itself is slave in the hands of communists, pseudo secularists, anti Hindus and anti nationals. If Rediff can be made slave by whatsoever mean, then enslaving poor is not big thing

by Incharge JRC on Jan 21, 2016 11:57 AM

Sir,
Poverty is big issue in india. The poor people in our country live hand to mouth for living. Some persons die due to poverty. Our country is only for rich persons and no keen interest is being given to poo Some people beg and some become thieves or people. Some becomes agents of IsI to earn for their livings. It is the duty of Govt. to look into the matter to remove poverty in country by giving employments and educate their children.

Actually the main reason behind slavery is laws against slavery are not getting implemented. Richers are taking disadvantages of the poors. The gap between the Rich and poor should be minimized to eradicate slavery. The same is possible by income equality. Even in families the slavery exists. The slave may be male or femail. To fight against slavery in families strict laws should be created.

Present day slavery in our world society.
by Nallathambi Kandasamy on Jan 06, 2016 01:26 PM

I think that slavery is due to poor education and due to extreme poverty. For earning at least two square meals in a day, people are will to work as slaves. An awareness among the society at large regarding the illegitimate nature of this work called slavery and overtime work(work beyond eight hours per day) must be created through radio, T.V., news papers and by Government Law. The slaves and the overtime workers must cultivate the habit of forming workers unions and fighting for their rights in a dialogue with their employers and through legal writ petitions(so that the Judiciary can come to their risk).
