Funding of protest march
by Ravindra Rao on Aug 26, 2015 10:28 AM

Who is funding this protest march. Who are the organisers. Where is the money coming from. Who is arranging for the food and water and transport. None of the protesters look poor. They all are overfed. If they are backward it is more morally and characterwise.

Looks like Gujjus have been inspired by the Tamil Nadu model!!!

In Tamil Nadu, except Brahmins, all are backward!!!
And Brahmins are only 3% of the population....which makes 97% of the population backward!!!

Any entitlement which is based on any criteria other than merit is bad. Bad for the person concerned. Bad for the society.

When you think you are backward, you cannot aim for the sky. To succeed in life, one must first think of himself as an achiever.

Reservations is just a political tool to get votes. Period.

Vijay, people who have been oppressed in the past deserve reservation....it is Positive affirmation!!!

But in reality, many oppressors are claiming reservation defeating the whole purpose!!!

Positive affirmation - Yes. Reservations - No.

There is a difference between Reservation and positive affirmation.

I have no problem, if special schools are opened where free education is imparted to SC / ST / OBC

I have no problem if stringent laws are passed (and implemented) for any discrimination against the backward castes.

But i have problem if the country's future is tinkered with by compromising on merit be it in education or jobs.

Reservation for Patels.
by Suresh B Kurbet on Aug 26, 2015 09:48 AM

It is political game to get political power for selfish motive. It is worth investigating how much money is invested for this agitation. All the Gujarathis unite together to defeat this tendency.

Hardik Patel's political career launched
by Vijay Sahani on Aug 26, 2015 09:32 AM

Hardik Patel's political career was launched yesterday, most likely by people who are not happy with BJP ruling Gujarat. Target is 2017 state election. Reminds me of Kejriwal during Lok Pal agitation.

There are pics doing the rounds which show Kejwriwal and Hardik Patel together. Is there a Kejriwal - Hardik Patel connection? Or should i ask, is there a Congress - Hardik Patel connection?

Who started the riots in Godhra. Who arranged for the petrol to burn the trains. Where did the money come to pay the initial rioters from the minoritiy community. Secularism is not freedom to hate other religions and expect immunity for the unlawful activities of the minority community.

@DrGirish, your language proves beyond doubt that you are a BJP/Modi supporter. But I'm ashamed to see that a doctor (which, I believe, Dr in your name means unless it is something else which starts with D and ends with r) uses this kind of language.

Complex question
by Praveen Lakhotia on Aug 26, 2015 09:13 AM

This agitation by the Patels is having a complex background. It is reliably learnt that the BJP high command is not happy with the present CM, thus the Patels have been instigated. Maybe a change of guard in Gujarat is around the corner.
