Unable to understand how governments can allow such inhuman acts. Sorry to say this - Something wrong with the Psyche of people. The successive governments are anyway hopeless, but cant NGOs and civil society do something about this. Why not replace these with something better - even a cycle rickshaw would be better and I am sure there are enough rich institutions around to replace these for free. It is not that there is no precedence. Tamil Nadu government abolished hand rickshaws and gave free cycle rickshaws to them in 1972! Commies just talk about equality but are inherently class conscious

Failure of Indian Democracy!

It really hurts listening to such hardships to our fellow citizen. Even after 70 years of independence, we are unable to create respectful jobs in our country. Shame on Indian democracy. Chinese rule is much better than ours. Hope the new govt. will do some needful.

Don't become emotional,...Chinese rule is an illusion. Follow the grievances of the Chinese gold medal olimpians of the past and the plight of the people affected by regular coal-mine explosions, Yang-Tse cruiser sinking and recent Tianjin super explosions as well.

Hand-pulled rickshaw.....

A child of three decades of Marxist's rule......Commies, in fact do not want to uplift the standard of living of the people for they are afraid of loosing there base. The more the person becomes affluent, he deserts Marxism. The more the person becomes learned, he deserts religion. That is why Mullas oppose modern education in madressas.
