Gist of the matter is...
by Mainbola on Aug 25, 2015 04:36 PM

Gist of the matter is it is pointless talking to pakistan.

Both India and pak have positions which will not change.

Trade talks are good, but what is the point in trade talks if Pa will insist Kashmir shud also be discussed in trade talks.

Our PM shud recognise this and stop wasting time on Pak. He can keep meeting Sharif in UN and other summits to keep the Americans happy!.

This Michael Kugelman seems to have more knowledge on Indian military's capacities and the local security scenario than the Indians themselves. These westerners have a very skewed and incomplete info (like the iraq or syria case) and end messing up the situation. Best to take their opinions with a pinch of salt.

Pakistan Dialogue

Pakistan army is obsessed with India. It behaves like ISISL , when India matters.
Government of India should persue dialogues only with political establishment. If the political establishment in Pakistan succumbs to its military pressure,we should not get deterred. keep trying and exposing the self serving military establishment in Pakistan.

Pak has generated crores in money for khaki people
by J Arora on Aug 23, 2015 01:50 PM

Pak generated crores of income to khaki cops in mumbai and maharashtra and if Pak stops all these activities the main source of income for the khaki trrorists in mumbai and other cities of maharashtra will reduce. There is a direct link between trror and business of khaki cops in mumbai. It is a profict sharing where khaki people are given business so some type of compensation must be going to Pak as they are not doing it for free.

It should not be all that difficult for India

to disengage permanently with Pakistan. The first step should be to make it impossible for Bollywood to export its products to Pakistan !

Bollywood products have a big market in Pakistan - only because that country refuses to allow its own movie industry the liberty to grow or engage in corrupt practices as Bollywood is allowed in India

A bar on Bollywood products moving to Pakistan (at least through legitimate channels) will immediately invite an encouragement from the Pak govt. for its own movie industry.

And sooner than later, Paki cinema will come up with drivel that matches Bollywood in every sense and feed its own middle classes - enough to make them no longer want anything from India!

This will naturally and permanently take away one of the biggest reasons for the two countries to engage with each other!

The other big reason for the two countries engaging with each other is the avarice of their businessmen who want to trade in cheap stuff - again targeted at the stupxid-as-ever middle classes of both countries.

Discourage or actively impede such trade across borders; and just as in the case of cinema, both countries will sooner than later disengage and remain disengaged for long.

And the forces of ego, jingoism, chauvinism, etc. will lose steam and both countries will soon lose interest in each other to such an extent that the borders will fall silent and peaceful.

What better way to snub those in both countries who live off the brawl between India and Pak?

Pak army-A rogue??
by mosarraf hossain on Aug 22, 2015 09:27 PM  | Hide replies

Pakistani army never won a war. They loose in Kashmir conflict.Lost badly in 1965 war and had to content with emergence of an independent state in its east wing.90 thousands soldiers surrendered.Big mouth boy Bhutto tasted the hospitality of Smt Indira Gandhi,
the lioness.Kargil war was lost .Even Pakistan failed to claim its shaheed(??)soldiers as their own. They pretended to be a non state actors. But they are very brave to kill and control their own people.Elected PM/President were shown the door or murdered.Military rulers occupied presidency and continued as active army chief making mockery of their parliament and the elected government. No institution was allowed to function independently and it was made subordinate to army wish and frengy.A great achievement for the pak military.Only detergent they have is its nuclear arsenal. The moment india is equipped with umbrella cover to save it from nuclear attacks(the mad people can do any thing) and also in a position to withstand west and chinese blakmail,it shall be in a position to take custody of pak army.Domestically india must treat its all citizen impartially and propagate it to show to the whole world so that general pakistani feel that it is better to be with India as a part of democratic polity.Pak army then shall be defeated the same way it was made to bite the dust in 1071 war leading to emergence of independent Bangladesh.Jai hind.
