The author is trying to sell the sensation! He is showing only one side of the story which is half truth! People were affected by partition on both sides of borders but he wants to show that only Muslims were affected.
it was the thing British wanted . They never wanted a peaceful two nations. When Pathans started looting J&K the erstwhile British General (who was heading in Indian Army even after India got indepenedence) did not send troops. Why unnecessarily dig the old grave after 67 years of independence and create confusion in the present day.
For India it was a worst part in the history of India, about 10 lacs died on India side itself. People passed through very high agony. But one thing everyone should know, that partition was of Punjab and Bengal not of India, at that time-no alternate except to part with due to Jinnah, but it was badly managed at that time by Govt. it was not smooth partition. After 67 years of independence, all riots and memories of agony have faded with Hindus as well as with muslims too, and they are living together in similar manner as used to be. Only thing which has taken place politicians cunning move of appeasement and creating hate among masses. Which can easily be tackled by reform/correction in governance, need of bringing SWARAJ.
AT PRESENT THE OLD HISTORY WILL NOT BE REPEATED.THE INTENTION OF THE WRITER IS QUESTIONABLE? THE WORLD IS SUFFERING A LOT DUE TO THE QUARREL OF SHIYA-SUNNI.PAKISTAN HAS NOT STARTED TO RESPECT INDIA.OUR INDIAN MUSLIM BROTHERS ARE STAYING HERE WILLINGLY.PROBLEM IS TO UNDERSTAND THE REAL POSITION OF PAKISTANI MUSLIMS.THEY ARE NOT HAPPY.THEY SHOULD WORK HARD FOR HARMONY AMONG THEMSELVES.WE HAVE TO FORGET THE PAST HISTORICAL EVENTS.WE ARE NOT OWNERS OF THIS HOLY EARTH.EVERYBODY SHOULD LEAVE.INDIAN CULTURE IS TO BRING HARMONY THAT THE WRITER SHOULD UNDERSTAND.NEHRU WAS NEHRU.HE WAS BUSY WITH MOUNT & HIS RIVER,SO WE HAVE TO FORGET BOTH.THEY HAD DAMAGED A LOT,SO THAT STORY MUST NOT BE REPEATED.
