Comrade Yechury, Congratulations. Why CPM lost in West Bengal, and Kerala? Why they cannot make a head way in other states. Where lies the problems. Please find out and go ahead. Best wishes. C K Balan, Chennai
Mr. Yechury, Congratulations for being appointed as General Secretary! Now that you may have had realized what went wrong with communist parties and communism in India. India has emerged now with vibrant young generation and they are no more a labour class of the dusty and shabby industries, they are neo class labourers working in airconditioned atmosphere with their newgen equipments like comps, apps and tabs! Your party miserably failed in attracting and or giving space to such newage labourers in your fold - there has been a severe communication deficiency. In a nutshell, your party leaders never in sync with those voters who decided the government that is in place now! Mr. Yechury, as long as we have democracy in India we would be having politicians who sincerely and honestly working for capitalist, imperialist and fundamentalist, in such case we the voiceless people who are in majority, may be minority in future, needs communist parties to fight for our rights. Please strengthen your party.

India needs a strong Communist movement but at the same time it needs to sharpen the skills of running coalitions.
Single party rule is a very dangerous thing for utterly backward authoritarian diverse societies like India. Better coalitions is the way towards modernization and prosperity, but it requires more skill than available at present.
Communists and Congress have given up their idealism and only try to be totally pragmatic and shrewd. That is against the national interest and against the political interests of these parties. Instead they need to make idealism respectable again, which is not an easy thing to do. The way out of the dark world of tradition and ignorance cannot be found without a healthy dose of idealism.
did not succeed in becoming the general secretary is great news.
The Kerala CPM strongman - Pinarayi Vijayan - can now start licking his wounds and forget about continuing to have his way with the party.
May Mr. Yechury succeed in galvanizing all the leftist forces to unitedly work against the grossly anti-people policies and programs of the BJP central government and also succeed in effectively communicating their message to the general populace.
