The Resurrection of Rahul Gandhi…

Let me say it at the very outset that I am no fan of Rahul Gandhi’s and neither of his mother’s. I have no faith in his abilities to run any political party, much less the one that has been around for more than a century and a quarter, with a batch current ‘leaders’ who would not like to relinquish their ‘hold’ for someone who wasn’t even born when they started in politics.

I don’t believe in dynasties running political parties. This makes any form of democracy go for a toss. I truly believe that IF this political party today has a TRUE, FREE & FAIR INTERNAL PARTY ELECTION through a secret ballot to elect their leaders – like any self-respecting democratic political party should – Rahul Gandhi will figure nowhere in the end result. He may well lose his deposit, so to say.

However, unfortunately, things are not run in such an openly democratic way in India’s Grand Old Party. The ‘family’ decides what is to be done and who is to be given which responsibilities and position.

So, if things are to be run in this manner only then give

So, if things are to be run in this manner only then give Rahul Gandhi the freedom of choice to ‘select’ his band ‘loyalists’ and let him swim or sink with his team. At least he will have no one else to blame if he sinks.....and who knows, he may as well come up trumps!

After all, he did spend a couple of months ‘introspecting’…….whatever it means with respect to Rahul Gandhi.

But one thing is certain. It will hasten the death of the party. Wait for Bihar and UP polls.
