Secular India

Hue and cry is always made for so called safety and future of minorities. Has anybody anytime shown concern over Kashmiri Pundits who are minority community in Kashmir? Hundreds were killed, thousands were forced to leave their belongings and are compelled to live like refugee. At least minorities in other parts are not required to face such challanges. Think again and again before you write such articles.

Dear mr. Dabholkar, pandits are also facing majority communalism in kashmir, from the muslim majority in the valley...so their plight is the same.

Question is are we ready to fight communalism irrespective of whoever indulges in it, or r we going to keep justifying it and doing nothing by giving examples of the kind you ar giving?

It is like saying two bigots equal a liberal!

And for your information, the only township built for Pandits is the Jagti township near Jammu by the much maligned Manmihansingh from the Prime Minister's fund.

Our Dear NDA under Vajpayi was in power for 6 years did nto even announce a township let alone build anything for Pandits!

For your information the township is lying vacant as the Pandits were from the valley and not Jammu? That was just an eye wash by Congress.

So why are the Pandits not blaming the country or questioning their future in India?

Because they themselves took a drastic decision of going out of the valley as a result of attacks on them, which in turn were a direct result of Jagmohan's dictatorial ways. Jagmohan had given unlimited powers to the security forces, who misused it and ki11ed hundreds of protestors without provocation. In fact, he has suggested Pandits to leave the valley temporarily so that he could "clear" all mi1itants.

This is a conspiracy theory woven by the separatists. If Pandits left temporarily on their own who torched their homes? Why governor could not 'clear', the area? Ask the pandits you will know what happened to them.

I'm not b1aming Pandits, who should be definitely accommodated in the valley respectfully. Entire b1ame lies with Jagmohan, who was over confident.
