Compared to a human density
by piri on Apr 09, 2015 11:38 PM  | Hide replies

of 24 per square kilometer in Brazil, 34 in the USA and 145 in China, the human density in India is an stratospheric 380 !!

The twin realities in the India of today, namely, increasing per capita consumption of resources that is applauded in general as a sign of *development* and the ever increasing extent of corruption in public life - including in the administration of environmentally detrimental fuels such as coal - will in combination with the third unfortunate reality of a very high population density, most certainly lead the country and its environment into a precipitous fall down the steep slope of irreversible damage to the quality of life in the sub-continent !

Keeping the currently prevailing political and economic idiom of *development* through increased consumption as the sole guiding light for the administration of the country is exactly akin to the proverbial action of cutting the branch on which one is sitting !

by arulraj on Apr 09, 2015 10:32 PM  | Hide replies

There are So many Hindu organizations and trusts getting trillions of money from all over the world and doing nothing for the poor. Even these sadus co operate fully to the so many agents with their trust FCRA. This govt is not checking or doing anything to them. But it is coming severely only on the trusts who are really working for the really deserving needy

It is undue merciless cruel act of the Govt to freeze all the accounts of NGOs. Because it is the these NGOs who feel more and work more than any Govt selfish politicians and officials. Blind bhakthas can't see the truth

Action on Greenoeace
by RCSastry on Apr 09, 2015 08:54 PM

The action taken is welcome. And Govt should vigorously look to other NGOs who derive foreign finds and only malign the country, its interests and ofcourse the govt. And some for otherintetests to work against our ethos.
