Deaths due to lack of hygiene accounts for a negligible fraction of the problems. A major problem is the increased incidence of cancer due to heavy consumption of preserved meats and those containing residues of hormones. Fresh food is better than preserved food even if the latter is more hygienic.

Govt should arrest people, who buy mobile/TV/two wheelers/four wheelers before they own a toilet. Also Marriage certificates should be given to those having proper sanitation.

Let's face it. We are known worldwide as dirty people. People buy TV, mobile before they have a toilet, spend thousands for cricket and sleep on pavement, spit and squeeze your bleeding noses on the street. In the Gulf, you cann't buy a vehicle unless you have a driving license, and that license takes more time to get than an MBA. We should introduce a law that prevents people buying bikes and Smart phones before they have a toilet, but our people will find a way to circumvent it. Another thing, how people who are homeless going to construct a toilet, and where?

Gujarat - the only state....
by aus ant on Nov 09, 2014 09:17 AM  | Hide replies

Gujarat is the only state in India that was able to use modern technology to implement futuristic design of anganvadis which enable the state - under modijis able leadership - to save resources by using one space both as kitchen and toilet.
This was done only because of modiji.
