Price of petrol or diesel may go up or down depending upon international prices, but once the prices of other commodites go up, it never comes down like petrol/diesel. So, no impact is reflected on general people.
Now that the prices of these products are deregulated and market driven without any component of subsidy, the government should stop levying hefty taxes on this. If the hefty tax is removed and normal VAT or 10% or 14% is resorted to, the prices will come further down. The taxes are anywhere between 30 and 40% now in different states.
this data is till Jan and Modi came to power in June so people are unnecessarily saying BJP has made no difference. Petrol price was 71 rs in Delhi in June and now its 66. But lets understand it has nothing to do with BJP or congress, crude prices are determined by market.
diesel price had been reduced by 3' 50 per Liter recently. this will give major boost to the economy, crude price is around 82 to83 dollars. if the above price go down in the range of80 dollar then price of diesel may be further reduced vinay churiwal
