Kashmiri people or any other religion following public want development and good governance so that they can live rich and prosperous life. Independence or siding with countries is vested interest of few families or group who wants to enjoy absolute power. Let India and Pakistan 1st prove that they can deliver development and good governance before claiming stake over kashmir.

and also governing system in Pakistan and India are similar. If Kashmir can not develop itself under India, there is no way they can develop under Pakistan or as an Independent state. You still have to deal with same problem of corruption and accountability.

riches and prosperity never comes by following religion to its purest or extremist level, it can only come through creating goods and services that people can enjoy.
The only way to peace is finding peace within. Solutions appear when you are in a frame of mind to choose right. Violence only begets violence and not the solution. The valley will find peace only when they decide the best course to take is work for better life, create a peaceful atmosphere for your children. Create an environment which will assure the authorities that you are in control and not being controlled. When the Scots asked for plebiscite, no one questioned them and when they chose Briton, it was universally accepted. Freedom does not exist on maps but in the minds.. the shackles we create are the hardest to break.
For all Kashmiris who want to secede from India and Join Pakistan, the best cure is to talk to people of PoK, who had been 'ruled' by Pakistan for over 64 years. People of Pok are literally dying to get away from Pakistan.
Without caring for ISI or PAK, correction is needed in India, when Others will be permitted to live there, we are to outnumber first the present community, push all separatists to POK, PAK will come in line. If we cannot finish Jihadis in PAK like US does in Afganistan, at least we can push all separatists.
The main factor in Pakistan who do not want the kashmir issue to be solved between Pakistan and India is the army. Their importance is mainly dependent on the issue being kept alive. ISI will be used by them as the army is in close cahoots with the ISI to maintain the anti India feeling in Pakistan. This is no secret. Unless their is a strong democratic Govt to put the army in place and not interfere in governance, India will not be able to make any headway in improving relations with Pakistan though the common man in Pakistan might want otherwise. People to people contact has always been good since we share many common interests in our basic living.
The separatist forces that have been very vocal in defending the so called rights of Kashmiris and have been unashamedly inviting and nurturing Pak terrorists (in their veiled attempt to kill as many innocent people as possible)are nowhere to be seen now a days. Their concern for Kashmir and Kashmiriat stand fully exposed. The people of Kashmir after getting over the present crisis must first forcibly take them out from their hide-outs, blacken their faces and take them round the lanes of Kashmir so that they stand fully exposed before the people whom they have used/misused time and again for their selfish interests.
