All the rioters were Congressis and wanted to avenge......

Indira Gndhi's assassination.

Thats the bitter truth. It was no Hindu Sikh Riot, as it made out to be. It was organised and pursued on nationwide scale by Congress supporters on the call of Rajiv Gandhi and his Minion Netas.

It was a massacre by a groop of hooligans led by congress leaders and supporters and even Rahul Gandhi has admitted their role in his interview with Arnab Goswamy on times Now TV channel before the world.

The congress party did not do anything to give due justice to the families of victims of 1984 riots and protected the main culprits. In contrast for Gujarat, they arranged fast track court and shifted case outside Gujarat. The Gujarat government unlike congress gave full cooperation to the investigating agencies and the court which resulted in conviction of many culprits including ex minister and MLA who are undergoing their imprisonment while the real accused of 1984 -are still roaming free.

Even no justice was given to gujrat riot victims so what is the difference between BJP and congress and while now BJP is giving compensation only to Sikh victims and not to gujrat riot victims

Why not congress ever thought of it even though they were responsible for massacre. What they were doing for 30 years ?

State govt machineries are always involve in such carnages be it 1984, gujarat or saharanpur. It is just the grudge of some politicians and not the common man.

It is difficult to believe that massacre was going on for three days and there was absolutely no control of law and order situation in the capital of the country.

I do remember one of my neighbors hiding a Sikh for a few days in his house. As a child I could not understand why they did so. Sh@me on Kangress.

A gruesome period
by anju singhania on Nov 01, 2014 01:19 PM  | Hide replies

It was a very sad and shameful situation. We say love is blind but our anger is even more blind. I can understand the trauma of our fellow friends, the innocent sikhs, at that point of time, the suffocation and helplessness that they must be feeling, was unrepairable . As a child
I remember we always looked out for a sikh cabbie as they were known for there loyalty. But unfortunately, because of the 2 men, the whole community had to suffer. It brings a tear to my eyes whenever I think about that gruesome period. Nevertheless, this incident will never ever fade.....

These are black spots on the secular nature of this country. I just hope the coming generation will rise above such religious identity and instead of they being tolerant they all have acceptance nature in them.

There seem to be severe sensorship while publishing anything about what happened in 1948.

Lot has been said about what happened in 1984 riots and brutal killings in 2002 Gujarath riots, nobody says anything about what happened in 1948 in Maharashtra after Gandhi murder to thousands of Brihmin families .

You are absolutely right such things of riots against Brahmins are not publicized. B'cos it does not help build Vote banks for any political party. The scars of post Gandhi riots are still on generation. It does not get any attention like plight of Kashmiri pundits.
