Looks like St.Andrews University (sic) make its students instead of growing up, remain irresponsible and immature children!

They are having fun......How does this reflect their irresponsibility and/or maturity? Does being responsible/mature mean you have to be blank faced with a serious expression and have no fun every now and then? Meanwhile most Indians just pretend to show themselves as mature by superficial means, but deep inside they are narrow minded and shallow. These guys are haven't fun and will show their maturity/responsibility through genuine actions when need be.

Dear Mr.Shah,

The particular stated event is not the problem but the attitude is a problem and is contagious.

A few weeks ago, in Baroda, well off youth of India congregated in a massive ground and splurged 300 tons of tomatoes on each other imitating a similar festival in Spain.

That bothers me.

In the above event it was foam and in another it is tomatoes.

Every vegetable and fruit grown in this country is highly subsidised; the water pumped is free of cost, the electricity for pumping is free of cost or highly subsidised, the fertilizers are subsidised, and the pesticides are subsidised and the income generated is exempted from income tax. Hence, in a way fruits and vegetables grown in this country are a kind of national wealth on whom every citizen has a right. No one has a right to buy them at subsided rates and waste for childish plays by the grown ups when teeming millions are starving.

Surely, this attitude is brought from the West from events similar to those stated in the article.

That is my problem with these people and their actions and attitudes.

Cakes are smeared on faces when the likes of Satryarthis are still busy saving childred from the shackles of slavery.

That is why I call it irresponsible and immature behaviour. Aren't these people grown ups? Are the still children?

Mr. Kabeer,

People in our country are starving because of corrupt governments and inflation. Real wastage of food is due to hoarding where the food grains just rot away. Child labour exists because parents put their children to work at a young age. The college student atleast paid money for the tomatoes and helped to feed the poor farmer and vegetable vendor.

I am not criticizing your maturity but just wanted to point out that what the college students have done is not the actual cause of our problem.
