Mob discipline
by arungopal agarwal on Oct 06, 2014 05:10 PM

Hindus do not have organised system of controlling mob anywhere, in any Mela, or Kumbh or other places, they depend on Police or Govt. machinery-who is lazy, unconcerned, have lesser chances for minting money with more work, as such apathetic. Will VHP or Dharam Gurus will take responsibility to control the crowd or mob or mobilise the Sadhus or volunteers in future events.

Only retarded go to such crowded places
by siddharth on Oct 06, 2014 01:13 PM

What is the point of going to these places on rush days. Even though there is no stampede, you get pushed around a lot by the crowd. The religious crowd in India is the most uncivilized crowd. I once made a mistake of taking my 65 yr old mother to tirumala. Those unruly crowd didn't have this sense that they should not push around a old lady.

Stampeding runs riot
by Bodh Ramdeo on Oct 05, 2014 10:18 PM

It's only natural...when panicked, reasoning goes out the window and fear takes over, and the first instinct is flight...it's left to later to figure-out whether the assumed threat was real or imagined.

In such state of panic, it becomes a free-for-all, especially in a people undisciplined and easily spooked...stampede is the only result.

If there were proper crowd control systems in place, the possibility of such disasters occurring would be highly unlikely. No?????

The CM without any doubt should quit
by manohar on Oct 05, 2014 06:18 PM  | Hide replies

No not because of the stampede but the reason is that he tuned down the offer of assistance from the Central Government just for the reason that the BJP is at the Centre. The party's differences cannot be bigger than the welfare of the people. The people of the state and more all the relatives of the dead and injured should force him to resign infact for his behaviour and the party's thought behind the reason for refusal to accept assistance should be the reason for the government to be thrown out and forgotten for atleast 10 years. Such people or group of people are a serious threat to humanity. Banish Them for Good from our lives.

stampedes

crowd management is to be first taught to the organisers rather than pulling a crowd. In and the out gates, inverted ink bottles locations, have to be identified.
the problem with such organizations such as rath yatra or holy days is that the people are not given timing tokens, and secondly there are not many free transports to a safe locality. VIP darshan during such hours must be banned or an alternate route arranged so that general publis is not stopped. same system must be followed even in Tirupathi.
Let there be VIP but the general queque must never be stooped for an VIP.

Really sorry to this type of incidents on the longer run of the life people will believe the religion and sentiment and luck so that any where ready to jump and ready claim the feets. But the law and order and administrative pre cautions are very much necessary to the common man for survival purpose. What ever the religion for the public interest life security, law and order is required in any goverment.
with regards
