A bold and brilliant self analysis. For such a modern, intelligent people as the parsees, it is silly to think of racial purity (what are you, Modern Nazis?). Your religion is not going to self destruct if you marry a Hindu, Muslim or a Atheist.
As per Mr Modi ....problems start when one religion starts thinking that it is better than others ...when one community starts thinking it is better than others ..dont do that ...please ...if a parsi marries a hindu ..let be it ..if a parsi marries a muslim ..let be it ..
to increase the percentage of Parsis would be to decrease the population of non-Parsis. The govt should provide incentives for smaller families of other communities, rather than provide more subsidies. This way we can save the tiger population as well from becoming extinct. Tigers do not have place because of man is cutting down forest to cater to his own burgeoning population. Instead we have all doing worthless things to save tiger, marching for tiger, marathon for tiger, signing save tiger initiatives through internet, etc. The new govt has not made any announcement in containing population. Instead, we have govts chest thumping that we have the youngest population, young country and so on. This might lead to other communities think that young population is good for the country, which it is not. The burgeoning young population would only serve to provide cheap labour for big industrialists. It is no wonder that no corporate has made population control as a part of their CSR.
I am based in Surat, which has the biggest Parsi community and some of my School friends and clients are Parsi's.Many of my friends have moved to the West, but still have managed to marry in heir own religion, which is fine considering i being an non Parsi and still single.Religion needs to change the mind set of the young generation and most importantly needs to adapt and evolve. This religion is still far behind, compared to other sect.
Let govt think how to rob earnin gof riches to give to poor and earn votes as rent .. are they worried that rich are leaving in droves the country , and the country to be left for poor and rent seekers

for conservatives, purity starts from what they perceive as the beginning of their cultural history.
