Children death

All praise to medical science, but big issue is to curb birth of unwanted children in terms of % as well as numbers. We have controlled death, will we control birth too.

Prematurity

Surprising!

Most child deaths are due to prematurity complications and not much intervention is being done. John Hopkins etc. are focusing on vaccines for diarrhea which can easily be cured with ORS and prevented with better hygiene

hahaha, blind monkey, the decline in numbers had started much before the congis, infact the decline is much steeper pre 2004 than after MMS' disastrous rule began

I tried to follow this story. I could not find any such graph in the WHO report to which link was given.

The graph is not interpretable. Are you talking of number of deaths in lakhs....a figure never used in International research and reporting.

Chart seems to be using WHO data but created by Rediff Labs team (therefore in Lakhs).

The link is to another report, not by WHO, but by John Hopkins. This report has been in the news lately for its data on pneumonia and diarrhoea deaths in children
