Sawant, who had delivered a landmark judgement in the SR Bommai versus Union of India case in 1994 on proving majority on the floor of the House and imposing President’s rule, said: “To prove the majority of a minority government, division of vote (ballot voting) is a must.” Sawant, who spoke to dna over phone from Pune, said: “Voice vote by Speaker does not hold any validity. Once the government proves its majority by division of votes, voice vote can be be had for running the House. But in the beginning, division of votes is compulsory to confirm that the government enjoys majority.” The state elections, he said, will have no value if everything is decided by the Speaker. “The BJP preaches morality and ethics. I did not expect a party like BJP to indulge in such a wrong and unconstitutional practice. The Fadnavis-led government should immediately call a special session again to prove its majority on the floor of the House by division of votes. Otherwise, if someone goes to court, the BJP government will be easily suspended, going by the SR Bommai versus Union of India judgement,” said Sawant.

Lheema Pav talk sense pls. Udhhavji you have taken the right step all the Maharashtrians are proud of you. Modi Janta Party (MJP) will know when the time comes. We are not "use and throw" mind you let MJP know them. Modi and Shah are equally responsible for the mess. Uddhav should never help them of Balasaheb will not like it at all. He must be churning from above for the mistake of 25 years. Will BJP take support from 'Naturally Corrupt Party' (NCP) as said by PM with the time 10 past 10. BJP cannot be trusted any more. They wish to wipe out all regional parties and that is their main aim although they have grown due to them. They forget this easily. All the regional parties beware your time starts now. heheh,again fkeugiri. Where is majority ? Speaker literally ran away :) He dont know process when party demand vote ,then its compulsary. Still he ran away. NCP did not boycotted as earlier told so there should be 145 for supprt. So where is majority ? Who counted 145 ? ..Bhakt log plz justify as they are know tatw nishta etc ..rss caders etc :)) ...heheheh. All drama on name of democracy ..earlier cong done same now BJP. they do only their development and know only their development, desh gaya bahadmey, see all the politicians comparison to yourselves. We have elected the new govt., doesn't mean we have to now be blind but have to keep strict watch, is the new govt to our expectation or we been fooled.
BJP never gives anything to any party, it eats everything itself. Those who were not power for decades( BJP, ) onoy can eat like wolf and tiger. The speaker looks non-fonfident. our country going backward because of greed,

Rajesh what do mean by giving some thing? Is it a Prasad or cake? What exactly you want to say? Power is sharable only with the alliance partner and not with the opportunists.
