An RTI query revealed that he operates a petrol pump in Vasco under a benami name.
Twice, this outlet was closed by the oil company as the petrol samples drawn from there failed in quality tests due to adulteration.
On two other occasions, he had to pay a fine to the oil company for not maintaining the free air service facility.
He was was also pulled up several times for closing the outlet several hours before regular closing time in the night. He did this on occasions when the oil company raised petrol and,diesel rates and he wanted to hoard his stock to sell at higher prices the next day.
Interestingly, Mr. Glenn Ticlo, another BJP MLA in the Goa Assembly, also operates a petrol pump of the same oil company.
At least now defence purchases will be streamlined unlike the earlier UPA government which purchased outdated Soviet submarines,outdated models of fighter planes,outdated guns etc, getting heavy kickbacks in return which it stashed in Swiss Banks accounts.

There is no politician without curruption. Only congress made big and others are small. but meaning is curruption. Dont worry within five years india's map will be changed with swacha bharat be patient.
Manohar Pareker is the best choice for such a coveted job. He is genius and belong to the cream of talents in our country. May Almighty give him all the strength to perform his duties as Defence Minister to the ultimate benefit & progress of the country.
