This city (like every other 'city' in this country) is in urgent need of comprehensive professional master-planning, urban renewal and rehaibilation. Most of the structures are squalid, dilapidated and in shambles...streets are clogged with garbage or totally non-existent...in some places there are lanes not even a meter wide and perennially clogged with piled-up garbage everywhere...a veritable nightmare.
As for his adopted village, one has to wait and see what this "adoption" means for the village..will there be pukka schools, houses, village center etc, and other basic facilities...electricity, health clinic, recreation, sanitation, running water, indoor plumbing, banking...small-scale industrial parks, etc...????
