THE CONGRESS HAS LOST ITS MOORINGS
by Vascado on May 25, 2014 09:22 AM  | Hide replies

What is not surprising is the Congress defeat ? It is the scale of defeat which has astounded even its harshest critics. The party has not been able to secure double digit tally in any State thereby fulfilling the wish of Modi in his campaign meetings. What it goes to show is that the party was totally out of sync with the huge discontentment, despair and disenchantment that was brewing and its leaders were totally detached from ground reality. Ofcourse they were sure about the defeat, but just not imagine that it would be of such a scale where revival would be pretty difficult even in 2019. The Congress should ponder as to why it landed in such a mess ? Why was 2009 different from 2014 ? If it may recall, UPA I in its first avatar reverted to the administered price mechanism dismantled by the NDA reign and it did in a little way lived up to its Aam Aadmi image which brought it to the forefront in the first place against all odds when it was pitted against the India shining campaign of the NDA backed vociferously by Indian and Foreign Media. However, after the victory in 2009, leaders with no stature amongst the public who were in the lead of things arrogated themselves with power and began to implement their neo-liberal agenda with a vengeance. This made the party so much unpopular amongst the poor masses who were the mainstay of Congress. Just Delhi would best explain the degeneration of the party. It got 57 percent in 2009 which was drastically reduced to just 17%.

Abhishek M Sanghvi, in his article in the Times of India of 24 May, says that while the BJP got 31% votes, 69% voted against it. Like Kapil Sibbal's ZERO LOSS THEORY, this guy, who is a lawyer, conveniently forgets that, by the same logic, 89% people voted against the Congress!!

Stop blaming and learn from your mistakes
by SMT on May 25, 2014 09:20 AM

Congress / NCP should stop blaming each others and look back to the mistakes committed by them in not honouring their commitment / promises in not delivering it. That is the root cause. Why NCP / Congress parties and their elected leaders went upto the last extent hoping that they will win but when result came against them they are blaming others... U both enjoyed your times now Modi / BJP enjoy and do it ..... people want to see their performance and if they perform then you people should forget it for 4-5 terms atleast till BJP / MODI creates any issues after certain years / terms.

Members means congressmen loyal to Rahul, detractors means those who criticize Rahul for his poor leadership.

Congress refuses to learn
by BUDH PRAKASH PUNDIR on May 25, 2014 08:22 AM

Congressmen have closed their minds in their blind worship of Nehru family. They are incapable to introspect and do not want to admit the reasons of their resounding defeat namely;
(i) They are an arrogant lot and insensitive to the peoples' miseries brought about their corrupt misrule.
(ii) The scams, scandals galore and their refusal even to admit that there was something wrong. Instead, kept on denying and used all tricks to cover-up like missing of files, fire on the floor where files related to scams were kept, interfere in CBI investigations.
(ii) People want a respectful life to live and not on free wheat , rice etc. that in any case does not reach those who really need these. These schemes like NAREGA or food security bills etc turn out to be another means of looting public exchequer and only the cohorts of politicians prosper.
(ii) Raising bogey of secularism is not going to work forever. People know that Congress itself has failed to control communal riots in Assam, several of them since 2007. It has only sowed fear in the minds of muslims and no development of them.
(v) To win elections now a party has to demonstrate at least some honesty in governance. Sadly, most people do not seem to believe that congress leaders , any of them, have behaved honestly in the last five years.
(vi) Young generation does not believe in dynastic entitlements. One has to earn his place in the society and not inherit the prime ministership. Congressmen do not believe in it.

why waste our time with these useless items? India is moving forward is spite of traitors like you. Aren't you ashamed of yourself?

Why not help Sri Modiji in taking the nation forward? Start providing the people of India news instead of crapp you always provide. Be professional for a change. Be ethical. Stop the deception. The game is over.

India is moving ahead and you cannot stop it no matter how hard you try. Smarten up. We are fed up with liys and manipulation by those who aim to keep us weak.

This is our millennium and this very moment is the dawn.

Har Har Modi!
