My two cents:

1. The agenda of forming BJP (way back in 1951 as Bharatiya Jana Sangh) was against the appeasement of muslims and pakis done by Nehru and team.

This agenda is entirely different from the basis of forming AAP (which is to fight against corruption).

And we are speaking about a time when news is being spread to almost every nook and corner of the country due to media as against the last century. This comparison of AAP doing better than BJP holds no value.

2. AAP had a great chance after winning Delhi elections last time, but sadly its "great" leaders stooped so low that it looked like drugged hooligans speaking uttercrap. The approach for LS elections by AAP was so childish. They dint realize the Cong was already doing a favor to BJP by speaking very negatively against Modi. AAP also did the same by speaking negative of the opposition than saying positive about themselves.

3. Apart from BJP, the agenda of every rival party seemed to focus on ONLY preventing Modi to come to power. This I should say, did more good to Modi than anyone else.. Modi on the other hand, was shrewd and spoke more about development. Bashing maa_beta was there, but wasnt the main agenda of his speeches.

4. Amit Shah who was incharge of UP, was instrumental in capturing the votes there. He was highly underrated by the opposition. This is exactly opposite to what Congress said earlier "What can 1 person (Modi) do?"

Bhushan should know that 1984 was sympathy wave for the Congress. BJP's 2 and AAPs 4 cant be compared. Anyway, AK had Anna Hazare backing in the initial days. And Media did support him in his early days, otherwise brand AK would not have been alive. Considering the media euphoria in the beginning and Anna Hazare's shadow on AK, AAP's performance is pathetic to say the least. If AK had stayed on in Delhi as CM, contested in 30-40 seats, shown excellent governance in Delhi for the term, AAP would have been unstoppable in the next general elections. Greed got over him. If he could become CM with less than 50% seats, why not try for PM post in a hung elections?

Now AP has lost it forever. What a tragedy for India.

1984 was the wave by sympathy vote to congress, 2014 is a wave created by spending thousands of crores of corporate money given to them as favors and concessions. Still BJP managed only 35% of vote. Give kejriwal 10000 crores for the election he will make it 400 seats

They could have gained more but they talked of 'negativeness' only criticising the established leaders and AAP shown disrespect for them without pointing out their demerits. Even they negatively condemned 'Ambanis' only for their richness.

AAP will have to deal with big monsters in society...they will have to deal with them in strong terms or equal terms only!

Absolutely correct. People started feeling guilty due to extrapolation of the word 'corruption' as to how much corrupt he or she is from 1% to 100%.
The AAP could have gone for simple things like providing community kitchen using solar energy for hygienic cooking by the underprivileged which could have reduced the LPG usage. These could have been hit factors to get votes instead of talking only of corruption.

The TV was playing 24 hours AAP Namoha Namoha mantra. When BJP they started did not have the TV or 24 hours media on behalf of congress were working to promote them. Pran Kurup, those days, in US it was worse. U get Indian news every 2 weeks which is like 3 weeks old concise news in India abroad or similar news papers. Even cricket scores were available once a week. AAP will die like JP dal. Jerry wala is not leader, he is an opportunist. If he was a leader, he would have never become delhi CM. He will sink the ship soon.

AAP is a phenomena that cannot be ignored, at least in the near future....Their standing in India will depend on the work they do...people want performance not drama...sacrifices will have to be made, risks will have to be taken...let us see how the AAP leadership works these things out.

AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal should seriously take up the profession of selling JARU's now, as he will contribute immensely in keeping the nation clean.

AAP is the one of the best things that happened to Indian politics; you will see very soon how Modi uses AAP to BJP's advantage. You have to realize that, now, all non-NDA parties will form a grand pre-poll alliance in UP, Bihar, Maharashtra, etc. So, in this eventuality, AAP will be the one who will cutr the non-NDA vote, and help NDA (I am assuming Modi will keep performing good to keep his vote intact). So, lets respect AAP's single minded non-curruption agenda which will keep them away from Lalu, Congress and others... and, thus, AAP will help country in keep providing BJP goverment for sometime.
