Residence for new prime minister
by P S SHAH on May 17, 2014 12:20 PM  | Hide replies

Mr Modi comes from a very humble background and he is not fancy of any luxurious style of living . But the main problem will be of acccomodating and finding new homes for the new MPs and the ministers as the old one specially of congress will generally not as prompt as their Prime Minister to vacate their accomodation and many ministers may have to stay in the hotels or guest house till all old MPs vacate their residential accomodations alloted as the member of Parliament. Government should bring a strict rule that all MPs once ceased be an MP they should vacate their accomodation immediately or within one month.

Official quarters for the PM is no problem, but all the "bungalows" for the MPs are a bit of a stretch, a holdout of the Colonial Masters...providing private quarters for the White Sahibs sequestered away from hubbub of the dark-skinned natives.
It's time such "entitlements" were done away with, and every MP find his or her own accommodation, like it is in the US and most every other democracy.

Be careful about what you wish for. Though he is ex-PM he still has to pee and so on.

Modi Security
by Naveen Madhu on May 17, 2014 11:30 AM

Modiji will require more security then MM Singh. His victory is envy and threat to many, all will be targeting him. Since he is PM now any harm to him will be insult to the nation. His personal staff need to double check his visitors and guests.

He wears a foolish smile all the time & That's what he can do on his own. (He was smiling the same way when his mummy was accepting her responsibility for the debacle)
For all other matters he needs a guidance from diggy.
So he will serve better as a maniquin at McDonalds. Your say ????

But that requires some thing at top part of body. At the age - when his father got PM-ship, RaGa is required to be spoon-fed & now he does not have his spoons with him in LS.
