How is it different from any other campaigning methods ? Rather its just another one....why such hue-and-cry about it? Marketing gimmick for some more bucks by GOOOOOs...or what?

well said :). even though Goolgle is very good search engine and good in many products it cannot overtake congress to fix elections. Need to get traning 4m Congress.
They helped to expand empire (read England) But individuals were more explosives who destroyed them (read germany) only those who dont know the art will fall (read india)
