I too think BJP plus allies and others will form a 300 plus Government.
Just barley crossing the mark with support of some outsiders is not enough and could be counter productive.
First the outsiders will have huge demands and some might openly blackmail the Government because they know, ‘if 2-3 M.Ps take off support, Government will fall’.
Also with just 2-3 people required to make the Government fall, opposition might be tempted to buy or blackmail few M.Ps.
In worst case scenario, few Governments supporting M.Ps. might die in accidents or of Natural causes and Government may fall, because holding fresh election only in few vacant Constituencies might be counter productive. As all competing Parties will put their full strength to win those few seats, it might go beyond capacity of Election-Commission to ensure free and fair elections.
With 30-40 outside M.Ps. from diverse backgrounds required to make the Government fall, it’s highly unlikely that all of them will remove their support at once; it can only happen if Government try to do something fundamentally wrong, or against the basic Principal and Sprit of Democracy. ..

Talking about my thinking further…
I think Parliamentary Democracy like Britain is more stable than Presidential Democracy like America and can last longer.
When decision making is concentrated in hands of few people, things happen fast but they can happen both for good or bad.
Lobby groups and influence seekers got very few and clear targets, which gives them ability to concentrate their full effort on buying house next to the ‘Main guy’ ranch, and as good neighbour possibility to play a casual round of golf with him while telling only his side of Story (May be less with coincidence and more by Design!).
In Parliamentary Democracy decision making is spread across the board and lobbyist don’t have clear targets; also there are lot of check and balances to make sure best possible decision in interest of Public is made. This kind of System comparatively takes more time, but if good things don’t happen fast then bad things also don’t happen fast.
To conclude, American style Democracy is like car on High Powered gear, it can take you to leading position in race early, but if you don’t change to a more stable gear at first opportunity, it’s unlikely that you will finish the rally, most likely constant use of High Powered gear will burnout your car engine in between somewhere. ..
For Pakistan, the Modi rise should be taken not a scare, but an opportunity regained after Atalji. In times of Congress rule, all that happened to Pakistan was unsteady; to and fro political maneuvering, which gave no clear anser to making any stable Indo-Pak cordiality. Modi's case is going to be too different; he will be good friend, if Pakistan assumes its own role; in words, spirit and conduct. If pakistan opts to pursue the same diplomacy as happened hitherto, then Modi will be as tough as Napoleon; and no way shall he be the Banana Republic PM. Pakistan could take its own decision as to which way they want to move, if Modi comes to power. Modi shall be very clear about his diplomacy; Pakistan must change the way India changed by then!
Congress is reponsible for the runnaway corruption and wearing burkhas during election to collect the muslim votes .Just imagine if the Hindus decide to vote against them they will be in minority.

The Pakistani journalist provides an Islamic projection of Indian elections. Why would Congress form a strong government with less than 180 seats, and BJP would form a fragile government with a support of more than 275 seats. This is an illogical joke from a biased journalist. If Congress is able to get an absolute majority, I would be happy to see Dr. Man Mohan Singh as prime minister without any interference from the Nehru dynasty. Or else, I would like Narendra Modi to form a strong and competent government. Congress government under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi will be totally ineffective and inefficient.
