RSS is a nationalist organisation
by Neeta S on Mar 12, 2014 07:36 PM

Sure, some members of the RSS may be shrill in their tone and sound ultra-conservative but RSS is a nationalist organisation with a love for India at its core. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Most Indians don't even know of the relief work that RSS workers do during natural calamities like earthquakes. And they don't discriminate among people in such calamities. Which is why, though Rahul Gandhi does not know, many Muslims too are members of RSS.

Rahul, explain why Cong ignored Mahatma on partition
by Neeta S on Mar 11, 2014 12:29 PM  | Hide replies

So Rahul is great Gandhi fan? Explain then why Congis forced Mahatma Gandhi to back out from his "India will be partitioned over my dead body" and beg Congressmen to agree to the partition of India in 1947 causing millions of deaths. Explain Rahul Gandhi. How Nehru forced him. And why.

Good Point. Freedom struggle in Africa led by Mandella has been violent and so has been one led by IRA for freeing of Ireland and so has been the Isralites and other movements in world. That does not mean that Africa should condemn Mandella and call him killer for rest of life. Instead Africa showed reverence for him and so rest of world was forced to. Even Ram had to use violence to kill Ravan and so did Mahabharat involve violence. Who are we to judge that violence should not be used in freedom struggle.
The freedom fight movement in whole world has been violent because there is no right way of dealing with imperialist. I am proud of what Gandhi did but that is just one example of peaceful protest in the world that does not mean that we disown other freedom fighters and call them traitors. British condemned Subhash Chandra Bose, Sarvarkar, Azad and RSS because they had clear agenda behind curbing our freedom movement. British called 1857 revolt as mutiny and in our history book we are still presented as mutiny. How can fight for freedom by us Indians be called mutiny I understand agenda of British behind it but at least Nehru should have rectified word mutiny and replaced it with freedom fight. Nehru and congress on us have endorsed what British imperialist wanted. How can Nehru and congress have not declared Subhash Chandra’s birth day as national holiday. Why have they not acknowledge what they did for India's freedom which every Indian would agree was not easy. No

Non-violence fight is the best but in the circumstances of fight for India’s freedom violent fight is completely understandable. I can understand British condemning our freedom fighters but for Nehru and congress to keep condemning it for so long is pathetic.
Subhash Chandra Bose was a freedom fighter so was Sarvakar and so were people of RSS. Nehru and congress stance to condemn them for taking violent approach is indication that they are acting to please the imperialist Britain.

You have a point, Shreya. Most freedom movements have been violent and there is nothing wrong in violence to ensure Dharma. Fact is all that Nehru wanted was the PM's post, he didn't care about India or Indians. RSS was the voice of nationalism and would have grown stronger had it not been for Godse's name being incorrectly associated with it. I feel Mahatma Gandhi himself knew his end was near and he probably regretted allowing the division of India. But as if Rahul Gandhi knows history or anything.

Hang on. Cong needs to do some explaining. About how exactly they allowed the nation to get divided in the first place. They, who argued for undivided India. How? It is time the nation knows.

has no relevance in today's political scenario. Congress is trying to hide it's failures by raking up this issue.
Moreover in today's world where religious fundamentalism is increasing, thanks to muzzleems, Mahatma Gandhi has no relevance. These muzzleems speak and understand the language of violence. So it is better to speak to them in their own language.
