What is the issue??

I think the four year degree course is better. It will make us on par with the US and other education systems as opposed to the British (which is a pathetic system). The system should be 10 2 4 or 12 4 ..
The country is being disadvantaged by not having a 4 year course

BJP has no right to tamper old records in education. Why there was no protest for 4-yr degree when launched. we do not how BJP objects to each and every policy of the country, as if Indians, are really fool. It is very easy to run government with its half-educated degree holder ( HRD Minister) but for that matter, one can not scrap the whole course. Even there was a PASS and Honours degree, PASS had two years and Honours degree was for three years. In 4-yr degree, we have many bachelors degree in architecture, engineering and even medical. Government should not tamper the old records and feel that every system of education that existed was wrong. Then Voting of students affliated unions and deans, college principals, vice chancellors and other students organisation is necessary. One can not cut short education by one year and say that education is over. Education is a long process, and it needs no comment from UGC and even Universities, BJP is only for skill education, but will skill education give us brain and full knowledge of education. Feel ashamed that there is politics in education, and BJP has handled it very well. What bothers BJP, if people study 4-yr degree course, or even after that? Can UGC tell that we will not give fund if number of years are not reduced. What kind of political gains and mileage we see in BJP now?

Rajesh, have not read above that in first year the students are being taught class 6 , 7, 8 level subjects. Is not FYUP wasting one year unnecessarily? Some persons are in habit of criticizing BJP on every thing and do not look at what damaging decisions have been taken by UPA and Congress.
