RAIL FARE hIKE
by Kpsastry on Jun 24, 2014 05:52 PM

Railfare hike is justified. It is giving concessions various types of people. Besides the Pay and DA of railmen over the years has incresed manifold. We must learn to run organisation of public utility on 'No profit No loss Basis' True there is vast scope for improving passenger amenities.
Miost Stations have drinking water taps which are aften broken and not Working. Bottle vendors are the mischief mongers. In this country you are sure of getting 'Coca Cola' even at the dead of night or even in a burial groound but not a glass of drinking water.

They have missed the chance.Bengal has become one of the most dangerous state. Rape and murder happens almost regularly. One cant help it as they cant think beyond Marx & Mamata. Both are notorious in resorting to violence, murder, rape; and appesement of a paricular community specially those who are coming with impunity from other side of the border. With no robust industrial and commercial activity the state is fast becoming a playground of antisocial activities.

Bengalis should understand the need of the hour. We have to take bitter pills for the sake of the country. They should start thinking beyound Marx and Mamta and follow karmyoga as sermoned by revered Swami Vivekananda.

Opposing the fare &freight hike of railways
by on Jun 24, 2014 12:03 AM

As we come to know that railway is unable to bear own expenditure with their current fare & freight charges. Now I like to know the answer of three question;-
1.whom did bear the remaining part of fare and freight charges which could not meet out by present rate of freight & fare charges and why?
2.Whether present capacity & fascility of railway is sufficient to fulfill the required national necessity considering importance of railway for such a vast country and its even inhuman condition of traveling in its general class coaches specially boarding from heavily populated cities?
3.Can we imagine if railway come into dept trap/sick enterprise how longer it will remains as government of India enterprises? If railway come in private sector than what will be the fate of such a nonsense populist move which ultimately degrading & destroying such a important sector?

Mamata
by rajesh on Jun 23, 2014 08:37 PM

Mamata, she is the only minister, who acknowledged cooking gas and railway fare, that are needy of common man. She must address these two issues, and should not keep the masses in corner. We liked her, when she said when she was a central minister, even government should bear losses in exchequer, and not necessarily put burden on shoulders. That is the spirit we need, who can allow government to share some burden for poor people. Common masses will be deeply hurt by high rail fares, as they need to travel for various needs. We welcome mamata's policy on cooking gas and rail fares. Railways need not be built like ambani's home and neither cooking gas need not be hiked, when there is need for govt to hike land given to adani too. Why did not Modi increase land value that was given to Adani.

Only objection is to the statement we are doing what UPA had planned to hike the railways fare . It means BJP has no its own judgement or they way to take credit either way.
