Apathy
by on Jun 22, 2014 02:32 AM

Decades of apathy by the rulers resulted in the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits and decimation of their tribe in their own native place. Can a religion deny their fundamental rights!

So sorry to read your plight and majority of people irrespective of their caste and religion support case of any refugee. However democracy shows its dirty head and wont get you any support as you do not belong to minority which is vote bank.
This is Indian mindset and we have been trained by Arab invaders and later by Europeans. This concept of Minority is flawed. In most advanced and educated world, a south African white was supported as minority. Whole west is fuming on treatement to White minority in Zimbabwe.
In India, some pseudo seculars will not fume and agitate over Kashmiri pundits facing injustice for last few decades. They still consider Kashmiris left in valley as minority.

Will the so called secular parties support their return
by balaji on Jun 21, 2014 05:29 PM

Nearly four lakh Kashmiri Pandits were hounded out of their homes, due to this turmoil and thousands were killed. Some put the present figure of the number of exiled Kashmiri Pandits at 7.5 lakh. No commission or probe has focused on ethnic cleansing and the genocide of minority Pandits, which led to their exodus from the valley.

Both center and state have not made a sincere effort to rehabilitate the Pandits in their homeland of Kashmir. In fact no one has ever done anything in this direction. It is imperative that at least the next government at the centre with the help of the govt of J&K should correct this aberration.

Moreover, the persecutors are roaming free in P O Kashmir

for the first time ,someone from kashmir has struck the right chords and given reasons to become a refugee in their own india .I SINCERELY REQUEST ALL KASMIRIS AND INDIANS TO LAY THE BLAME OF THIS EXODUS TO ONE KASHMIRI-- LATE PANDIT JAWAHARLAL NEHRU WHO DESTROYED NOT ONLY KASHMIR BUT ALSO WHOLE OF INDIA .having said that ,please know that CONGRESS GOVTS TILL DATE WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS POSITION .THEY NEVER ACKNOWLEDGED THE BASIC PROBLEM LEAVE ALONE SOLVING IT .NOW THAT BJP HAS A FULL MAJORITY ,THEY SHOULD TRY TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM IN ITS ENTIRETY RATHER THAN A PEACEMEAL SOLUTION .LET US SEE IF MODI HAS THE GUTS .

Yes, Modiji should keep his word now &:

a) remove the special status that had been granted to Kashmir by Kangress (with a view to upgrade Nehru step-brothers i.e. Adabullas)

b) stand firm on Army's presence in Kashmir which is being solicited by the Sepratists (n on their shoulders by Pakistan plus Kangress) to be removed

Otherwise it won't be long before the Seperatist Movement (slyly sponsored by US) succeeds in their motive of breaking Kashmir away from India , the Pundits will be prosecuted forever.
