during summer reservation for train travel is difficult to get! and if one wants to travel by air on the last minute, he has to pay 50$ additional fare!
in case of shortfall of a particular say onion due to climatic conditions the price goes up! one of the method is to have cold storage to prevent the damage. other way is to make them dehydrate it and distribute them! many a potato chip, tomato sauce makers use them! because the cold storage and dehydration increases the cost of onion or say double it, absence or low arrival does not make much change in the selling price to the customer! for example star restaurants do not change the price of items depending upon the increased price of onion or tomatoes! they absorb it!
western societies use mostly pre packaged precooked, pre processed food items. the sort of price increases due to late arrival of food items and consequent difficulties are less experienced and felt!
lesson: make the nation economically strong and citizens middle class just as in Western societies! people from poorer countries spend maximum or considerable ble portion of their earning on food. make the middle class! i.e theirb food expenditure should be less than 10 % of their earning!
it is a long term solution! at present people have to suffer or go with lesser consumption or pay higher price! no other alternative!
the graphs tells that price rise is frequent and in spite of the knowledge and resources at the command of the govt.

There is a direct correlation between creeping Foreign Direct Investments and inflation. Modi's admirers credit him for for buoyancy in stock market valuations, increasing FDIs, fall in Gold price etc. Why can't they criticize him for rising inflation too because whenever FDI increases in this Country, inflation monster rears its ugly head. So, give credit to Modi where it is due.

Before censuring me, note that I was relating to inflation in general and not just Onion price. So, the faultline is only with you who could'nt make out and grasp simple English. Therefore the question that has to be posed to you is whether you have even passed 10th standard ?

Vascado, Sorry but why do you get into a discussion with individuals like Maximum. They have no education, might be literate and very little knowledge of the English language. Their Boss who speaks of aacche din speaks of acche din for himself and people around him. Unfortunately the public thought that he was speaking of aache din for everybody and voted him to power. The leader does not want the Indians to be educated and grow up as skilled brains and so the mess now created between Hindi and the other languages. He wants skilled laborers so they can remain a slave to Adanis, Ambanis, himself and the like.
