CONG should set a role model
by Jomesh George on Jun 15, 2014 01:03 PM

The CONG leaders are not affected by this defeat. Most of them deviated into other professions like law practising or other business ventures. The party president and vice president are not ready to take up parliamentary party leader's post. The organisation structure in most of the states are in dismal situation. It is time for the CONG leaders to set a model for themselves like
1. Vacating their bunglaws before getting any notice on it.
2. Make sure the UPA dream projects like MGNREA,Right to Education act,Right to Information Act,Food Security Act,RG housing scheme etc are implemented properly in atleast CONG ruled states
3.Stop nomination on party posts and start preparations for organisational elections with 33% reservation on woman
4.Be a constructive opposition in parliament and states
5.Put on efforts to attract young generations

MPs & their allotted houses
by PRABHAKAR NIMBARGI on Jun 13, 2014 06:47 PM  | Hide replies

The houses allotted to them are not permanently let out to them. They must vacate as soon as their membership ceases, as is done in case of govt. servants. No leniency should be shown to them.

by Chatur R on Jun 13, 2014 02:42 PM  | Hide replies

All MP,a who no longer are elected should move out on their own. They were elected by the people & were provided accomodation from pple money..Now its their look out wether to stay on in Deli or on the roads..Many pple in India still live on roads..So Mr Modi is right..Tell all these losers to vacate fast or else vacate them forcibly,The newly elected MP,s are awaiting their accomodation.Whether they perform better or worse than their pre-decessers ,we all will in the next five years..The people of India will take a call on this during the next election in 2019...

Ex MPs official house menance
by bhujanga subannachar on Jun 13, 2014 12:35 PM

Irrespective of the party to which they belong it is but moral that one who do not have the privilege to enjoy the past status due to loss in electoral mandate must simply vacate the houses with out any prejudice or grouse. 30 days from the date of Election results announcement is fairly good period. Any period exceeding this should be penalized proportional to the actual cost incurred by the Government to accommodate new entrants. If Cong ex mp are protesting then it is against the laws of natural justice and can be terms as behavior without morality even being a past people representative that too as law maker How can they break the law when they not MP at any stage. Set of SHAME LESS personalities only behave moral less.

You say "After losing their seats, Congress MPs set to lose their houses". After losing they are no longer MPs. They are ex-MPs. It is their duty to relocate themselves. To serve them notice itself says that they want to cling on to their past glory

It is mentioned "others lamented that landlords were wary of renting their place to a politician "
Why so ? Any introspection. Because ordinary person fears anybody who behaves as if BAAP KA RAAJ HAI.
