Modi es focused on objectives - Ravishankar Prasad
by Pradip Shah on Jul 25, 2014 07:25 PM

Modi knows that he don't have to achieve his target like in 20 over or 50 over match. He know that he is as PM for minimum five years and like in a Test match He is building his inning like Sunil Gavaskar, Tendulkar and Dravidian and he will concentrate on his goal with lot of patience . Let other parties like congress who can not live without power and become desperate, frasturated and lost patience. It will take some time for a new government to clean up the mess created by earlier government. One thing is clear that Modi will fulfill wishes and hope of the people of this country who has given a mandate in his favour.

People, please learn the facts first. Do you know who started the current mess in Gaza strip? If you know you cannot face the consequences, why did you go and provoke the enemy? Because they got ISIS behind them, who said to go ahead and start tingle them. This is not 20th century problem, this problem is existing from past 4-5 centuries, they both are chasing each other. These days its become a fashion to talk something on Palastine issue. First learn the facts!!!

Shame on Noble traditions
by Srinivasan Iyer on Jul 23, 2014 02:12 PM  | Hide replies

It is tragedy that from being a well run democratic country we have descended to a low where the Army and the Judiciary who were free of corruption and upheld noble traditions. Gen V.K.Singh was the first CHief who betrayed the Army's tradition and joined partisan politics. We now hear though belatedly after the Judge's demise of Judge's appointments being influenced by politics. Besides, there are several instances of blatant corruption both in the army and the Judiciary. Can we try and find out the reason? Is our politics taking over these prestigious wings of the Govt. Will it be wrong to call ours a Banana Republic? Who will save us?

Gen VK Singh was an Upright and honest General and his joining politics can only make politics less dirtier. It is better for such people to join politics than thugs and criminals dominating politics as is happening now.I am a witness to a hotel scene where in the late evening some so called high court judges being caught in an unmentionable state. The whole government machinery had to be busy for the next 24 hours to suppress the media from publishing this incident. Many of them are still serving after elevation!!

BJP vs Independent Judiciary
by Srinivasan Iyer on Jul 23, 2014 02:05 PM  | Hide replies

Mr Ravi Prasad like his colleague Jaitley are eminent lawyers but politicians. While speaking of his party's views on independent judiciary, he has proved the opposite. First they opposed Mr Gopal Subramainam because of his role as amicus curiae in a case against Modi and Amit Shah. Then they transferred a judge who was hearing Amit Shah's case for unknown reasons. Probably because he wanted to hear the case seriously. What next? By the party being against the appointment of a LOP, they have upheld a Speaker's rule despite subsequent developments incl the Court's ruling on the changed context of the role of the LOP. To keep on putting the onus on a helpless Speaker shows on how they intend to run the Govt.- Modi style, ie a one man rule, as in Gujarat.

India has tried democracy and so called democratic values for 65 years. You can see the results. I sure there can't be a debate on that. Let's try autocratic (since you think so) way of functioning for 5 years. No harm. Enough of freedom, inclusiveness and secularism we had till date. Infact its nauseating.

Good overview on the work
by Aravind Raman on Jul 23, 2014 11:43 AM

Liked the focus and key initiatives mentioned. I feel India Post can move from pure mail/service to a full fledged logistics player also transporting essential commodities. Frankly, I am not sure if it is practical. But this idea is worth considering!

Make Judiciary and Jurists accountable
by Praveen Goud on Jul 23, 2014 12:19 AM

Indian Judiciary is a BLACK HOME, at present. It needs drastic reforms in terms of quality, transparency and accountability.

Literates and lawyers with adequate phenomenon like you should make efforts in reforming it. Rather than feeding those corrupt jurists and judicial employees, it is better to feed those beggars on Social security or allowing them beg in front of religious shrines.

Stop feeding these incompetent dogs at the expense of ignorants on name of resolving disputes.
