The Russian Establishment would not have done this knowingly .This is a mishap . Even the militia would not have done this knowingly as something this dastardly was not going to help their agenda anyways . US has no moral standing on this as they themselves downed an Iran Airlines in persian gulf killing innocents iranians . People who have lost their dear ones will never get justice much like the relatives of those who lost their lives before .
Russia cannot be blamed for this as putin didnt order this .This is a case of mistaken identity .If at all this jet was shot which has not yet been proved by any international agency it was unfortunate . It could pretty well have been a Air India in place of Malasiyan Airlines.
The best way Russians and Ukarain can honour the lives lost is to declare the area of crash as a no mans land and allow the humanitarian agencies to investigate the scene of crash . This is not going to affect international standing of Russia at all as they didn't order this genocide . Indian Government must refrain from falling into trap of taking sides as Russia has been a close Allie and US has its interest in Ukarain and would leave no stone unturned to malign the image of Russia .One this is for sure even the humanitarian agencies will be biased towards US which has no business in all this . One thing that surprises me still is the precision with which the jet was brought down from more than 10 KMs . Is Militia in Russia so well equipped ?

Many of the rebels in eastern Ukraine are members of the Ukraine armed forces who have turned against the government after the coup. Any type of weapon that Ukraine possesses could be in rebel hands. Airline flights have recently been passing over not only troubled parts of Ukraine but also over Afghanistan and troubled parts of Iraq. Eye-witness accounts of the crash of MH17 indicate that the weather was cloudy, so the people who launched the missile would not have seen the aircraft but probably detected it by radar, lacked the technical means to identify it and recklessly and wrongly assumed that it was a Ukrainian military aircraft like several others that they have recently shot down.
