CORRUPTION AND EDUCATION CAN'T GO SIDE BY SIDE.
by subrata banerjee on Jan 04, 2015 03:26 PM  | Hide replies

Since independence India has struggling against corruption which has really eaten most part of fruit of development in economy of our country. Corruption persists from top to bottom and it is really hard to find corruption free era in Indian history since independence. And for this, there is room for health, shelter, education, food for down trodden people who survive with their luck and most of them die too too early. ECUCATION AND CORRUPTION CAN NOT RUN SIDE BY SIDE.

Never given importance

Possibly due to creating vote banks and keeping communities ghettoized, education was never a priority in Nehruvian policy. It is heartbreaking to note this as most post colonial nations have marched forward. India needs to spend in the neighborhood of 10-15% of GDP for the next 25 years simply to catch up. an investment in education will pay for itself almost instantly.

Our policy makers have failed in designing policies to sustain and improve the quality education. The power was in the hands of people who had political assets and they literally spoiled the entire scene!! Bring honest and hardworking people in front. Study the education system at international level. Promote research based on its relevance to our needs. Heavily strengthen primary education.Pay well these primary teachers who must be locals. Adopt e-learning to provide quality learning resources in remote areas. Pickup dedicated teachers in remote areas, train them properly and deploy these for imparting quality education.
Education is not just the cup of tea for rich and children residing in urban areas. Lot of potential is there in villages, just itentify and promote.
