Why Congress's election campaign is curious
by ramaswamy sunderrajan on Jan 27, 2014 10:14 PM

There was another report elsewhere that the Congress had tried to pay the massive advt charges by cash though there is law that payment in excess of a certain amount has to be by cheque only. Not just this.Congress is reported to have called the advt managers to a place and handed over the cash. The hush hush manner of payment, the payment by cash etc leads to suspicion that the payment is from the Congress's enormous chest of black money.Either some one should go for a PIL demanding a CBI investigation or for the court to go for a case suo motu .It is doubtful if the opposition parties will take up this wonderful opportunity and launch a case or a campaign for fear it could boomerang. In the interest of democracy te matter needs to be seriously investigated and the source of Congress's funds found out

BJP has been on PR overdrive for nearly 9 months
by Fan of Politics on Jan 27, 2014 08:07 PM  | Hide replies

Mr. Jaitley, Why this fuss about Congress's PR campaign finally being kicked off? You have correctly stated that it takes a lot of money to sustain a campaign over 4 months. Would you also care to explain where BJP got money to fund it's projection of Mr. Modi for nearly 9 months till now. Is it all through gate collections from Party loyalists? I guess not - pls reveal which business houses are pumping money to the campaign which has dragged on successfully till now. At least it will give us a perspective of the decisions which will be taken once Mr. Modi is in driver's seat.

There was another report elsewhere that the Congress attempted to pay the media by cash by calling the Advt managers of the media houses to a place ( neither the office of the Congress party nor that of the media house ) and offered the payment in cash against regulation that payments in excess of certain amount has to be by cheque. The inevitable inference is that the money is black. Congress should be asked to account for the money.Similarly the BJP also should be asked to account for the huge expenditure incurred by it for all the rallies.Looks like both parties ( and others as well ) have huge amounts for lavishing on election campaigns. Not that other parties are angels.Let there be unbiased investigation so that the disclosure will rid the society of the influence of money black or white

A perceptible decline in ethics & political culture is gettin
by nitmohan on Jan 27, 2014 07:22 PM

A perceptible decline in ethics & political culture is getting reflected in the eroding credibility of the Indian Feudal DEMOCRACY. Attempts to safeguard vested interests have led to politicization of Democracy. The increasing political interference in the functioning of Court Matters and presence of pliable eccentrics have led to a situation that people are fastly loosing faith in the DEMOCRATIC system.

I am apolitical and do not belong to any party at this juncture. Nevertheless I attempt to give 'Congress' the following :

1. "Rahul - Rah ... Rah .."
2. "Hope and Future with US"
3. "Let's begin anew"
4. " It's our time for Greatness"
5. "Let's have Peace"

No evaluation, please ! make a kirk or a mill of this !

Rahul Gandhi meets Lalu Yadav today in Delhi to finalize poll pact for Lok Sabha. That's what is the real face of Rahul Gandhi and his idea of fighting against corruption. How can he fight corruption when the river starts from his own house.

A question which Congress will find it difficult to answer.Answer they must.Incidentally how does the convicted La;u Prasad roam around ? Is it a privilege restricted only to VVIPs owing allegiance to Congress? Why then do we go through long drawn out legal process if the convicts can roam around freely participating in all shady deals?

It certainly is.Ask for an answer. The majority community does not count for the Congress. It seems to survive only on minority vote. Why can not the majority community boycott Congress and see if they will get even the truncated numbr of cities?
