I strongly object to Author and Rediff for using photograph of a helpless child in bad condition. You both have used this photograph for your own benefit (irrespective of how good the article is). Would you allow photograph of your own kids in such state of condition for any publication? This is against human rights. It is unfortunate that the family and the kind is facing bad economic situation but that does not allow you to ABUSE their financial status.
It has become a standard practice in India that if any Politician or affluent person want his or her publicity they use the financially weak Kinds along side their photos and articles. This should be stopped immediately. These financially weak kids have done nothing wrong except that their parents dont have huge money like you. They are not criminals. They also have the right to PRIVACY. The author and publisher of this article concerned should also not use any such photograph in future. This will a blow to the sufferers. Shame on you The Author & The Publisher.

btw, more than seven hundred millions live on less than one dollar per day and tens and tens of millions live on less than thirty cents per day. India boasts the highest number of child labor. Three hundred million drink piosonous water to survive.
No words can describe the misery in India. A few weeks of travel in India will change one for ever.
Do I dare to say that India is potentially a VERY rich country.
Biggest priority is controlling unwanted population, who will bell the cat, all politicians including Kejri-recent one, do not talk on this issue, highly afraid of. Whatever development is done, 2 crore population is added each year eat the development. Chaos, indiscipline is increasing day by day.

This slogan we are listening from the last 60 years, so far nothing, moreover when we have increased life expectancy to 65 years, why not control birth too.
