after 70 years of lavish luxuries provided to him by foreigners, he(prabhhupada, iskon's founder got the time to open his rotten window n atleast first time in his life saw a picture (without hangover)of true poverty in India. and got an escuse to loot the already poor people in collaboration with the govt. If he is really that much generous, he must donate to poor frm his own pockets, without asking the subsidy available on per meal basis on mid-day meal scheme frm Indian Govt's coffers.

DON'T tell me, I also operate mid-day meal scheme. I challange there's no mid-day meal scheme which comes into effect without paying 7-8% commission. For this scheme, U have to prove urself as an N.G.O , who has worked fr a minimum period of 3 years in non-profit operations for the betterment of society. ISCON builds lavish temples with 50 crores plus budget to get donations ranging frm 5-10 crores per year. Y doesn't operate this scheme absolutely free without looting Indian taxpayers' SUBSIDY provided to them on each meal.

What is your mid-day meal scheme name? I've been hearing serious complaints about Akshaya Patra since over 5 yrs now when I first time wanted to donate and googled what it does and is it authentic. I want to donate, but to a local school to me where I can visit and personally see how are they utilizing the money i may donate.

MID-DAY
by rajvansh singh on Jan 17, 2014 01:05 PM  | Hide replies

All the commentators, pls go n check how these mid-day operators jostle to fill the pockets of respective education ministers to get a slice of mid-day meal scheme(including me). Its nt a charity programme as depicted above. Its a huge -huge margin Profit game 90% controlled by Canggrreess'S Contractors. Hope any new govt. wld modify this scheme into a no-profit structure. ISKON is a foreigner based organisation reaping its profits due to closeness with Conggrreess.

People who cannot feed their children
by Ground Zero on Jan 17, 2014 09:46 AM  | Hide replies

dont deserve children.

Feeding is equal to raising the children.

Let the Indian Government take all of these children into custody.

and arrest and slap hefty fines on this

cruel parents.

Not feeding children is child abuse and torture

and very cruel.

True, one must understand what it takes to bring up a children and be a responsible citizen by producing one or two children at the most but only the educated class understands that and this is leading to a huge imbalance. Government must have strict family planning policies but unfortunately our political class neither has the will nor the wisdom / patriotism to understand what the country requires. They play politics over this widening gap and fill their pockets.. Con party is a specialist in such games
