Augusta westland is the key link.

When this news broke out I thought, much as I mistrust Congress, why would India need British consultants for a military operation on its own soil. Does British intelligence/special forces have better blueprints of the golden temple complex even decades after they left India. The denials from respectable army officers(certainly not congress stooges) was further confirmation that vested interests in UK were lying but what was their motive in implicating their own country in the mess of a corrupt party of another nation. This news makes it all so clear.
UK has never hidden the fact that corruption or not they would like the Indian helicopter deal to go to a company of their own country(Augusta westland). Right now congress rules India and makes the call regarding retaining the deal or canceling it. Whether it was involved in this helicopter corruption or not, right now congress is sensitive to corruption charges(with AAP and BJP breathing down its neck on 2G, coalgate, adarsh, commonwealth etc.). The disclosure(or non-disclosure as one part of UK govt has made the allegation while another denies it) is a not so subtle hint to congress that play ball on current deal or we will dig real/imaginary skeletons from your past.
That is the price we pay for a discredited corrupt and weak govt. Besides paying the price of their direct corruption, we(tax payers) also indirectly finance the price they pay to their blackmailers to keep them quiet.

Recently it was alleged we are not able to get back Dawood as our politicians wont approve the operation out of fear that it would reveal their involvement in hawala money laundering. Besides the loss to nation in hawala laundering of black money(no doubt accumulated by more corruption), we are also loosing out on regular terror attacks from across the border facilitated by Dawood's links.
If you consider these secondary and tertiary effects the price we pay for our politicians corruption is mindboggling.

I remember seeing a photograph of Advani, Jethmalani accompanied by some akali leader entering golden temple to meet bhindranwale. Their sympathies were and still are with separatists.

Great deal of financing for Punjab militants was from UK & Canada. Jagjit Singh and other Khalistanis were provided sanctuary by these countries.

What was done was to save country and innocent lives of people. Condemn is done for armed troops entering holy place but no one condemn for armed militias taking refugee in holy place. As long as foolish sentiments exists peace will only be mirage. Root cause for this is politicians they do all these to secure the place.

What Indiraji did was right. What do you expect some hooligans go to a holy places like temple, store lots of weapons there, make a tunnel to the enemy country and after attacking innocents go back to the temple. She had the courage to ask the concerned to go to the temple and bring them out dead or alive. The name sake 'khalistan' was all Pak sponsored terrorists.

It is bad luck for India that Indiraji is no more.
