Yoga indeed increases the life span.
by kartikeya on Aug 22, 2014 05:38 PM

All the great yogis have age spans of 90 and over. This is something I have observed.

B.K.S.Iyengar died at 96. Pattabhi Jois at 94, Krishnamacharya at 100, Indra Devi at 103.

Yoga indeed increases the life span.

AKSHAYA TRIVEDI
BS Ayenger
by AKSHAYA TRIVEDI on Feb 15, 2014 12:00 PM

The author favours Nobel prize for the great Guruji and also requests to public to sign the petition to grant him the prize. Simply arbitrarily call him the great does not make him great. The author should have elaborated his contribution to the world so far. He only mentioned here Ayenger's visit to China. How can I, a aam aadmi, recommend Ayenger for Nobel prize?

why nobel?
by Nandakumar Chandran on Feb 15, 2014 11:08 AM

in india itself, iyengar is likely to be called 'communal' because he teaches something traditional which can be beneficial to society.

This legendary yoga guru is from Karnataka and is a Kannadiga and not from Tamilnadu as some people here have mistaken him by his name.

He has a Tamil lineage. His ancestors served Mysore kings. Specifically, his brother-in-law Krishnamachari trained the soldiers in the Mysore palace.

Belur in Karnataka is his home. Great Yogis like Patanjali (Yogasutra) and Thirumoolar (Thirumanthiram) have graced Tamil Nadu....

Media Lacking!
by varghese on Feb 03, 2014 11:38 AM

Media of India is focusing only on things which do not help in Nation Building...as such great men are ignored..its a shame! which we all have to bear..

even a great man unless projected can get ignored

A column should be devoted in every News Paper about the Sons of our soil who are involved in Nation Building,it sets a good example as well as standards.
