Yoga Guru Shri. B K S Iyengar, not only deserve a Noble prize, he also deserves nothing less than the Bharat Ratna award from Indian Government for his incredible contribution to human civilization all over the world.
The author favours Nobel prize for the great Guruji and also requests to public to sign the petition to grant him the prize. Simply arbitrarily call him the great does not make him great. The author should have elaborated his contribution to the world so far. He only mentioned here Ayenger's visit to China. How can I, a aam aadmi, recommend Ayenger for Nobel prize?

He has a Tamil lineage. His ancestors served Mysore kings. Specifically, his brother-in-law Krishnamachari trained the soldiers in the Mysore palace.
Belur in Karnataka is his home. Great Yogis like Patanjali (Yogasutra) and Thirumoolar (Thirumanthiram) have graced Tamil Nadu....
Media of India is focusing only on things which do not help in Nation Building...as such great men are ignored..its a shame! which we all have to bear..
even a great man unless projected can get ignored
A column should be devoted in every News Paper about the Sons of our soil who are involved in Nation Building,it sets a good example as well as standards.
if some one does not know the guruji, they must first learn and search your own Manorama year book or Google se's. just do not criticise a genius in Yoga, if don't know...
